FilePacketSniffer uses a SimpleDateFormat to write dates to the output. SimpleDateFormat is not thread safe, so it must be synchronized externally if it is to be used from several threads.
In particular, incomingPacket(ZToolPacket) and outcomingPacket(ZToolPacket) both use the Fromat but are called from different threads.

Check for correct synchronization.
