The new version:
- fixes support for both 32 and 64 bit JVM on Windows platform
- improve support for more Linux/ARM system
Of course the release is already old because the most updated codebase is on the trunk, but will release more often ( hopefully.... )
We just created the "members" location on the SVN server to allow the members to share documents, software, and other stuff that cannot be published on internet due to Intellectual Proerty Issue.
In fact the "members" location can be accessed only by the members of the project, it will ease the collaboration by allowing all the members to refers to the same document, software or slide
the ZB4OSGi team has recently announced a brand new driver for the CC2530 SoC devices (e.g. CC2531 USB dongle). In brief we'll be able to preparare a new ZB4OSGi release with all the most recent artifacts. In the meanwhile have a look at this new tutorial page with some tips in order to obtain and compile the CC2531 firmware (http://zb4osgi.aaloa.org/redmine/projects/zb4osgi/wiki/CC2531_installation_guide)
we've released our first version of the CC2531 driver. It provides support for this USB dongle http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/cc2531emk.html in replacement of the old-one. You can test it by following the instruction here provided http://zb4osgi.aaloa.org/redmine/projects/zb4osgi/wiki/Tutorial. Simply check-out the svn and compile the whole project. Next you can auto-generate the start-up script and test it.
Actually there is not a new official release, but keep visit this page for further information we have great project in plan
The work around CC2531 is going on!
We have some software modules ready to be tested and included within the new upcoming release so visit this page or subscribe to the official mailing list: http://zb4osgi.aaloa.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
We started working on the CC2530 API implementation. This allows ZigBee4OSGI stack to interact with the newer and more reliable CC2531 USB dongle http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/cc2531usb-rd.html.
Some work have been already done, you can check out my personal sandbox to have a look at the recent developments....but stay tuned and visit this page or subscribe the ZibBee4OSGI official mailing-list http://zb4osgi.aaloa.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
Dear ZigBee and OSGi fans,
We are glad to announce the first release of the just born ZigBee4OSGi project!
The release contains all latest released version of the bundles
developed by the project, in form of a ready to use OSGi environment.
In particular, we used Apache Felix as target OSGi platform and we
used pax-runner for creating the environment.
The goal of the release is to provide an easy-to-use environment,
which the developer can use for a quick testing the project, and
to allow the navigation through the source code and bundles. So, if
you are an end-user with the house full of ZigBee device you may be a
bit disappointed by running our release.
A more featured release will be provided next months with examples
bridging ZigBee lights to UPnP lights
So do not hesitate any more, download it, play with it, and develop with it ;)
Looking forward to constructive feedback from you...
Stefano "Kismet" Lenzi
All the changeset perfomed on SAIL PERSONA FP6 EU Project have been backported here.
